Munich, 16.10.2019: Autumn Reception and German-Russian Dialogue of the Paul Nikolai Ehlers Foundation

The Paul Nikolai Ehlers Foundation yesterday welcomed sponsors, friends and guests from politics, business, the arts, media and health care to its annual autumn reception and German-Russian Dialogue at the Consulate General of the Russian Federation. After the greeting by the Chairman of the Board, our Senior Partner Prof. Ehlers, and the Consul General of the Russian Federation in Munich, H.E. Dr. Sergey Ganzha, the moderation of the German-Russian Dialogue on this year’s topic: “The friendship of nations between Russia and Germany as the basis for peace in Europe” was taken over by the Russia expert and journalist Rainer Munz. Under his excellent leadership, former H.E. Ambassador Dr. Ernst-Jörg von Studnitz and the Russian journalist and Peter Boenisch Memorial Prize winner Artjom Sokolow discussed an hour and a half to the delight of the guests. Afterwards the laudations were held on the PNE prize winners 2018 (Rüdiger Theis, “Kultur am Vormittag”) and 2019 (Olga Delane, “Alle ins Kino!”) by the chairman of the board of trustees Oliver Kirst. Oliver Kirst and Prof. Ehlers handed over the prize sculptures, certificates and cheques created by Pumuckl’s graphic mother and Barbara von Johnson, member of the board of trustees, to great applause for the two award-winning prizewinners. In a silent auction, original drawings by Barbara von Johnson were auctioned off for the benefit of the Foundation. The guests discussed excellent Russian and German food and drinks long into the night. Many thanks to all sponsors and supporters.
